Inktober 2016: Week 1

Sorry for the absence! I tend to go silent when I'm focused on work... though I suppose that's a good thing.

Anyway, here's a compilation of the first week of this year's Inktober, taken from my Instagram.

Thanks again to everyone who came out to support me this weekend and made my first con working behind the table a great one! 

 I learned a lot about myself, both as a person and as an artist, and now I have some notes to take back on how to improve things for future events. 

Overall I’m just happy that everything went down so well!

NERDBOT-CON 2016

Gemsona

Finally finished my gemsona! I decided on Fluorite, which happens to come in a multitude of colors. She wields two batons that form into a longer bo staff when put together.

Creation 2.0

This is another take on a piece I did a few years ago. We're such a small little speck in the grand design and so young in comparison to the birth of the universe, but fascinating and important and large all the same. We're a mix of contradictions and beauty and ideas and tales and chaos and so much more....

 I don't think I'll ever get tired of playing around with this idea. The possibilities are endless...

Back Again + The Oddities (Character Sheets)

Hey there! So I'm really hoping to be more proactive this year by keeping this blog (and my other various sites) up to date. Expect a lot of changes over the next few months or so as I try to get everything up to date and basically try to be a more active blogger.

For now, here's some character designs I've worked on recently for a personal project. I'm planning to fine-tune their designs and add a few more characters into the mix, but I think this is a good start.

Started doing the Sketch Dailies prompt from Twitter. If anything this should help color my blog with art on a regular basis as well as help fill the void whenever I'm lacking in inspiration.
